Fist of all to my 5 dedicated readers, sorry for not writing last week. I had some epic man points to earn by using my own 2 hands to tile a bathroom and tear up a living room.
I listen to a talk show out of Austin TX most mornings, for sentimental reasons and what not, I realize I haven’t been back to Texas since 2008, but I still miss the place. On KLBJ 590 they had a one minute discussion of a new discovery about the ACA registration process and why it is failing us so hard. In short they were discussing an interview by the New York Times and that interview revealed that 5 million lines of code need rewritten to have the exchange webpages running. Now I cannot tell you what that means, the most codding I personally ever did was to learn to make my own calculator, and that was a while ago. There are an estimated 500 million lines of code total involved in the healthcare exchange, and some estimates put the reworking of the web page finished after the December 15 deadline.
What this means, to the general population and the estimated 10 million or so people that the White House expects to flock to the system is that your going to be fined for not having coverage, because the government hired people to make a page that were not qualified to do it.
If our government cannot even make a web page to allow us into a system they have utterly destroyed, how can we trust them to ensure we receive health care. Nothing about the Obama Care roll out has been what we promised from the get go. They promised savings for the average American, well my wife and I might be just barely not average, seeing as how something like 1 percent of the us serves in the military, but everything else about us is average as can be, and we are not saving money, we are loosing money. The government cost over 10 years was supposed to be 900 billion dollars and it is now estimated at 4 trillion. We were promised that if we had coverage we could keep it. I can personally say that in 2015 my wife will not have her coverage any more, and I imagine with companies spending on average 5000 dollars a head a year for single coverage, they will gladly pay the 2000 dollar fine and save the 3000 dollar difference.
When our government fails us over and over and over again in a certain area, we have the right to revoke their influence over that area. So stand up my friends, strangers, vagabonds and what not, let your voices be heard, demand a reset and a system that works.
