In what can only be explained as an I told you so moment by many, Common Core has been caught with her pants down teaching liberal agendas to children.
I admit that I have not followed the Common Core issue that well, mostly due to having no children. I fully intend to home school them (when I have one) or move to another country that does not have a failing educational system, so it seemed to have very little impact on me.
After this recent attempt to instill bias into children who barely understand what a government is, I think I may personally pay attention from now on. The attempt to cleanse the brain of your children went something like this:
Teaching materials aligned with the controversial national educational standards ask fifth-graders to edit such sentences as “(The president) makes sure the laws of the country are fair,” “The wants of an individual are less important than the well-being of the nation” and “the commands of government officials must be obeyed by all.” The sentences, which appear in worksheets published by New Jersey-based Pearson Education, are presented not only for their substance, but also to teach children how to streamline bulky writing.
Here is the entire worksheet for those that want to read the full details of the assignment.
I will remind those that see no fault in this “educational practice” that it calls your children to obey commands, and that their wants are not important. Our country was founded by those tired of obeying the commands of England, and the Constitution was written to protect the individual not the nation.
All I can say is that if our government succeeds in the indoctrination of your children, then all hope for America is lost. America was built upon the back of free thinkers and revolutionaries, not the Kardasian loving sheep that the current administration is prepping for future leaders.
